Why “HFS?”

Well, it could be for the “Highly Flexible Sole” that lets your foot move naturally, or the face you’ll make when you put it on — “Happy Face Shoe” — or the way you run in it with a “High Frequency Stride”, or what you exclaim when you put it on and feel the comfort and light weight: “Holy ___ ___!”

Caring for your Xero Shoes

To clean your Xero Shoes, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry.
We do not recommend putting your Xeros in the washing machine or dryer.

Super comfortable

I’ve only been walking with them, but they feel great. It’s like having a sock with a sturdy bottom, that hugs your foot.

Good running shoes with a minor con

I was using the prio for workout and occasionally running. But the running part didn’t felt good. So I purchased the HFS. The shoe does this job well done. It feels as I‘m running more forward with using less energy (runners know what I mean). It’s lighter as the prio which is a good point for being more lightweighted… The only con so far is that due to the lighter and not so solid structure compared to the prio, the fabric is kind of folded along the lacing. Luckily it’s not cresting creases which is rubbing against my feet and I guess it’s due to my need to feel secured inside tho shoe. Overall it’s not my first Xero shoe and the HFS is performing good. So definitely not my last Xero shoe!

Mixed feelings of the pros and cons

While I searched for high-quality shoes with more space for toes I'm irritated that most of these are also bare-foot shoes. I just want to note two things. First bare-foot shoes aren't 'compatible' with the city I live in (many rocky roads). Second I just don't like the feeling of bare-footbarefoot. I just want a more natural shape of the shoes to have space for my toes. That's the reason why I will not leave 4 stars. The quality of fabrics is good but HFS aren't indestructible. That's what I can say.

Simply comfortable

Most comfortable shoe, both for running and for daily use in the city. As long as it isn't too cold or rainy this is simply the best shoe. The upper material is very soft and wraps my foot like a glove while the sole provides very good tactility and at the same time has an ever so slight cushioning that makes walking on any surface very enjoyable. Sadly it's been discontinued
