Tire Inspired Design

The Scrambler Low shares the Michelin made, mountain bike tire-inspired outsole with its sibling, our Scrambler Mid.

The sole uses Michelin’s fiberlite technology, an embedded textile layer that creates a thin, lightweight, flexible, strong product.

Lightweight, Breathable, and Confident

At just 263.7 grams per shoe (M42), the Scrambler Low weighs less than many hiking sandals.

You’ll enjoy the breathable mesh upper year round.

The iconic Xero Shoes adjustable instep and midfoot straps will help you feel secure no matter where you take the Scrambler Low.

WE MAKE TRAIL RUNNING SHOES SO COMFORTABLE, YOU’LL FORGET THEY’RE EVEN ON.

If your feet don’t feel as good at the end of the day as they did in the beginning, you haven’t tried the Scrambler Low.

Life-changing comfort and superior performance come from letting your feet do what’s natural – bend, move, flex and feel.

All Xero Shoes feature a wider, foot-shaped toe box that lets your toes spread and relax, a non-elevated “zero drop” heel for proper posture, low-to-the-ground design for perfect balance and agility, and a flexible sole that gives you “just right” protection so you can bend, move, flex, and Live Life Feet First!

My first barefoot shoes

They are the kind of shoes that you want to have always on. Look a little better in real life. Offer enough protection from ruff surfaces and have also pretty good traction. Highly recommend!

probably the most comfortable (and least durable) shoe i have had

Having hiked and done trail running for the past 25 years, i have tried quite a lot of shoes, the last 10 years or so more and more in the minimalist and barefoot direction. Have used the Mesa Trail quite a lot, those i get 1500-2000+km out of. But i wanted something a bit more midsole for longer hikes and runs, so Tried the Scrambler low. It has the same great fit as the Mesa trail, and the minimal midsole really helps me for the distance. But the durability? as others have noted, there is a design flaw in the front/side past in the intersection between the mesh and toe box protection. the issue seems for come from the bending for the forefoot, and the mesh being too soft/fragile and the toebox protection too hard - causing tear and fairly fast (200km) substantial tearing. the pairs i have no have lasted perhaps 300-400km and 500+, and the 500+ is pretty beaten up, by this distance in the mesa trail i hardly see any signs of wear and tear. So i really hope for some redesigning and tweaking of this so the issue will be minimized in a later version.

Not great grip

I bought these shoes because I heard they have good grip, but have so far been disappointed when compared to my previous Vibram sole La Sportiva trail running shoes. Any rock that is a little bit wet and these shoes get very slippery for me.

God shoe

On first impression, its a very good shoe, the only bad thing is that its a bit stif around the angles, so maby a more softer edge.
