Ridgeway Mesh Low – Look Good On and Off the Trail

Conquer any terrain confidently with the Ridgeway Mesh Low. Designed for long approaches, the aggressive toothy outsole ensures steady traction on the trails.

The abrasion-resistant toe guard adds an extra layer of protection against rugged surfaces. This shoe’s sleek design is not only ready for any adventure but stylish enough to wear around town afterward.

A shoe that can handle hiking trails and rocks but looks cool enough that I would wear with jeans and a tee.

Evan S., Verified Ridgeway Mesh Low Customer

It’s the ultimate multi-purpose hiking shoe that redefines lightweight comfort and durability.

Breathable Mesh Upper

The vegan-friendly Ridgeway Mesh Low features an engineered mesh that provides optimal breathability, allowing your feet to stay fresh, dry, and comfortable throughout your outdoor endeavors.

A “Midsole Illusion”

It might look like the Ridgeway Mesh Low has a thick midsole. Actually, we took our embedded TrailFoam™ layer (that evens out the bumps) and wrapped it around the upper, giving the illusion of thickness. You’ll still enjoy the flexibility and natural movement you expect from Xero Shoes.

Grippy Outsole and Protective Toe Guard

Trail-friendly tread is ready to take you up and down nearly every trail, path, and mountain imaginable. The durable toe cap provides the added protection you need for off-road endeavors.

Averaging just 300 g (men’s 42), the Ridgeway Mesh Low is not only lighter than most technical shoes but even lighter than many running shoes.

Slip on the Ridgeway Mesh Low, embrace the great outdoors in confidence and style, and Live Life Feet First!

Vollkommen zufrieden

Good looking, but not as comfortable as I would expect (abrasion).

I was happy user of "Mesa Trail I", very comfortable, reliable, I think the best one I had. I've decided to buy Ridgeway Mesh Low since it seemed to be good alternative to Mesa Trail which are not in the offer any longer (version II doesn't have good opinions). What are they then like: good looking, the foot is wide, but the priority is comfort and reliability. And here comes the issue - after 8 km walk I got abrasion above the heel. It never happened to me in any other Xero Shoes, and I have them a few... Will see how it goes later on, now I need to recover after abrasion :-/

Great shoes for mountains

great combination of a bit firmer sole but still being low profile, wide and zero drop. Good toe protection as well to protect your toes from pesky rocks

disappointing shoe - wouldn’t wear it on a serious trail

My previous Xero shoe was a Scrambler Low: I really liked it and did some serious hiking in the French alps with it. Unfortunately it got a hole after only 5 days, and Xero Shoes EU suggested that I try a different model. Since there is not much choice, I ended up with the Ridgeway Mesh Low. I find this shoe very disappointing. For me it’s really uncomfortable around the ankles. And even though I have pretty wide feet (definitely too wide for some Xero models), I found it impossible to to get the shoe to fit in such a way that it provides lateral stability. For that reason I wouldn’t recommend using it on a serious trail. I really did my best to love Xero shoes. And while I definitely believe in the concept of barefoot shoes, I don’t understand how a shoe manufacturer can make different shoes that theoretically have the same „size“ (length) that differ so markedly in their width. One shoe had a perfect width; one was far too narrow; and one (the Ridgeway) far too wide. The least Xero Shoes could do would be to indicate which shoes are wide and which are narrow. I don’t think I will ever pay for a Xero Shoe again - unless I have good reasons to assume that they have found a solution to let me know which shape an individual shoe has. Otherwise ordering Xero Shoes online doesn’t make sense.
